FAQs
What are the biggest challenges when putting on a fitted latex maid dress/outfit?
The shoulders, bust, and delicate ruffled trim. Use a generous amount of silicone dressing aid (lube) on the interior of the main garment (dress/top), especially across the shoulders and bust. Avoid getting excess lube on the delicate, contrasting ruffled trim, as it can be difficult to fully polish and can attract dust.
How should I clean the small, non-removable, contrasting white/light colored lace or ruffles?
Rinse quickly and dry separately. Lighter latex colors are highly prone to irreversible staining from dark colors and residual dirt. Wash the main garment first. Then, quickly rinse the delicate white/light sections, and ensure they are not touching the darker material when drying. Dry the light parts completely separately.
The outfit comes with separate accessories (apron, headpiece, cuffs). How should I clean and store them?
Clean and store all pieces individually. Each piece must be hand-washed, thoroughly rinsed, and 100% dried. Crucially, store each component in its own separate, opaque storage bag or wrapped in acid-free tissue paper. Never store the main dress with the separate apron lying against it, as this can cause localized damage or color migration.
How should a latex maid dress (often flared or full) be stored long-term?
Hang using a wide, padded hanger, supporting the skirt. Never fold the dress. Hang it on a wide, padded hanger to support the shoulders. If the skirt is very heavy or long, consider rolling a foam pool noodle or tissue paper inside the skirt hem for support, and always store the entire garment inside an opaque garment bag away from light.
